Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Firstly, it is easy to miss this place even with the help of Google Maps. The restaurant itself has no proper signboard except for a tiny sign at ground level. Instead look out for VP Kopitiam which shares the same building. Despite the lack of proper signage, this is actually a proper air conditioned Chinese restaurant that is fairly big with plenty of tables. Impressive looking cooking awards adorn the walls. The intensive menu is available in both Chinese and English although not everything the restaurant serves is listed in the menu so do ask the helpful waiter for recommendations. One signature item not on the menu is their famous black truffle roasted duck. However, you need to pre-order the duck ahead of time if you wish to order it. The other signature dish here is their deep fried pork belly. We ordered both the duck and the pork for our party of nine. Other items ordered are the deep fried prawns, braised tofu, sweet potato leaves, omelette and the hokkien yin yong noodles. The best dish in my opinion was the pork belly. Flavorful and crispy with a nice crunch. Reminded me of thick cut bacon. It came with a sambal belacan dipping sauce although I think a better option would be a chili-lime-ginger dipping sauce to add a little tartness. The tofu was not bad either. It had plenty of sauce which makes up for the rest of the dishes that were rather dry. The duck was a little bit of a hit and miss. We ordered half a duck and it was a rather large portion and the duck was very meaty. The skin was crispy and as far as roasted duck goes, it was not bad. However, I don't think the truffle added any noticeable difference in taste. Perhaps my expectations were a little too high. After all, truffle is one of the most expensive foods in the world and probably very little of it is actually used here. My advice is to manage your expectations. The rest of the dishes including the noodles and prawns were average fare. The prawns were quite fresh but I felt the batter was a little too thick."
"The food was good and reasonably priced, but the service was poor. They selectively cleared empty plates. We wanted to order fried noodles, but it was too crowded, and they kept pushing us to order even though we were already full! Go if you don't mind the service, but don't go if you do – they'll get angry."
"One of the good restaurants in the area. Food is really done well and not too salty. Their fish dishes are done well and their hay feed chicken is good. Prices are also very reasonable for the quality of food. Highly recommend to try"
"Revised review Jan 2026 - this restaurant has upgraded to new premises in Kajang Prima. The ambiance is very much improved and FREE parking is plentiful in the space across the road. The food quality is still excellent and service has also improved with more staff. The new location also has 2 private rooms with karaoke facilities. Understandably the prices have slightly increased due to the higher rental and operating costs. Original review 2025 - A fantastic gem in a non descript place. All the dishes were absolutely delicious and unique. Kudos to the chef who by the way has won many awards and competitions. We had their steamed soon hock, pig tendon pot, steamed chicken, hunan pork and tauhu. We added a plate of their signature hokkien mee. All were superb. Will definitely return to savour their other delectables. Revision - this restaurant has shifted to Kajang Prima and is now housed in a location with very much improved ambience. Service is also much better with more staff. Ample parking is available in the open space across the road and is free. The food dishes are still as stunning as before. Prices has increased slightly as expected due to the higher rentals. Service was reasonable, we waited about 20 minutes. The place was air conditioned while the ambience was acceptable but not great. For the quality and quantity of food that we had, the price of RM470 for 9 of us was absolutely fantastic value for money."
"Recommended by a family member to try out newly open (since end of Sept 2024). Celebrated birthday there. The place is located inside VP Kopitiam. Overall dishes ordered were cooked to my liking and served presentable onto our table. But, steamed chicken lack of taste abit & fish were abit pricey for its smaller size. Their signature tofu was interesting & delicious. My favourite would be their duck, fried yam with sweet & sour pork & vegetable dishes. They were friendly, welcoming and attentive. The place is bright & clean and air-conditioned. Yes, i would recommend this place to others and with God's Will, will come again."
"Hidden gems! Its been a long time since we were surprised by a restaurant's dish! I always like to quote the word "Sincerity" on those who prepare & serve tasty food with heart, can tell that the chef crafted the dishes full of Sincerity. We had a small anniversary dinner organised by the association's secretary, all of us (5 tables) were amazed by the dishes served! Seafood are fresh, ingredients used like truffle, sichuan peppercorn, fermented black bean chili on the cold dish chicken including many unique fried rice on the menu.. no wonder the Chef won so many awards, will definitely come back for other dishes. Go on weekdays instead of Friday to Sunday, as these days required advance booking and they encourage you to order at the same time + their aircond seats are limited and only 2 Chefs are cooking, expect the waiting time unless you time and arrive on time."
"Found this restaurant from an online post on the off chance. The food was incredible. The truffle roast duck is a must try! But make sure to book in advance. We were very lucky someone had cancelled their order, so we got to try it, and it was absolutely worth it! The other foods were also nothing short of amazing. The service was also decently quick, and they were very polite. I would also say the prices are worth the quality of the food. Would highly recommend this restaurant."
"Had a great lunch at Yinlau today. We ordered the Yee Sang, Lobster & the noodles, vege and orh nee. The food was tasty, portions were well sized and prices were reasonable. Service was attentive from the waitstaff as well. They have an extensive menu, would definitely return to try other items."
